077 House in Catribana
Location: Catribana, PT
Year: 2021 (project)
Size: 140 m2
Team: Celyan Ergelen, Jakob Sellaoui
A gently sloped site near the village of Catribana. Remains of stone walls and distant panorama of the landscape towards south-west. A new building to live and work. Naturally responding to the conditions of its surrounding. Creating 3 main spaces oriented towards specific views of the landscape, forming the geometry of the exterior wall. Three wall-like service zones facilitating all necessary storage and sanitary affordances to free the main rooms, while also holding the roof like 3 spines. The slope of the site is incorporated in the building. Different angles as result of following the conditions of the context. A changing experience of the space through differing angles and views among the inside spaces as well as towards the landscape and garden.
